Todd School:

100 Days of Gratitude Project $3,075 (Gillian O’Connell - 4th Grade)

Pilot project for 4th graders to receive a daily journal called “A Simple Seed of Growth, Gratitude & Giggles” by Katie Wood that focuses on positive self-talk and gratitude. Journal has five-minute daily entries that students will complete. Author will come to speak to fourth grade as well.

Books Featuring Diverse Characters $5,004.46 (Jessica Bandel K-5)

Add a selection of books featuring diverse and/or multicultural main characters for all K-5 classrooms libraries.

Engaging and Hands-On ELA Centers $3,901.56 (Alyson Tully and Kimberly Andrews - 1st Grade)

Engaging hands-on materials for small group rotation during Skills period to reinforce ELA concepts for each first-grade classroom and the support specialist.  Materials will add a multi-sensory experience directly connected to the curriculum. 

Middle School:

Personal Voice Amplifiers $6,239.60 (Alyssa McKeever and Robert Connolly - Middle School)

Portable microphones, speaker, voice amplifiers with headset mic and handheld mic for every middle school classroom. Research shows that amplification systems  increase student engagement.

Stone Chess Tables & Plantings for Academia $3,200 (Alicia Moraitis - Middle School)

Stone chess/checkers table and two benches along with some plantings for Academia, the Middle School outdoor recess area.

Classroom Library Grant $5,566.24 (Kristen Samet, Alicia Moraitis, Alexandra Mazza, Briana Di Nuzzi - Middle School)

Add a selection of new titles and series to the middle school classroom libraries based on ELA curriculum.

High School:

Visiting Artist Series $900 (Jessica Dubin)

Series of three artist visits to come to art class. Artists will relate to art class curriculum - examples include a ceramicist, landscape and portrait photographer, specialized food photographer.
